Andy Deloney, vice president of public affairs for the Michigan Restaurant Association,...."Michigan’s law, however, does allow an employer to take a 'tip credit' of up to $4.75 per hour if the employee receives tips in the standard course of employment. Federal and state law include tips as income. If the worker does not earn enough money in tips to average $7.40 per hour, than the employer is responsible for ensuring that the worker earns at least the minimum wage of $7.40 per hour. Therefore, if someone works for four hours, but earns no tips during that time, than it is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that the worker makes at least the minimum wage." 嗯tips是要正常给,waiter也要记得与雇主捍卫自己的minimum wage
