China Friends is a group of Chinese and American friends that help Chinese students and scholars and their family members with English speaking skills, learning about American culture, and sharing in small group discussions about the Bible and Christianity. English and Chinese are both offered for you to decide.
Living in a foreign land so far from your friends and family is difficult, but China Friends is a close community of Chinese and American friends that can help you adjust to living in Ann Arbor and to make some long lasting friendships.

Since its inception in 1997, the JFS English as a Second Language (ESL) Program has served over 1,000 students from more than 30 countries.
JFS holds English as a Second Language (ESL)classesfor foreign born adults who want to improve their English language skills.  The program features instructions for various levels of English language proficiency, including Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced.  The program covers a wide range of English language skills, from the fundamentals of pronunciation, comprehension, vocabulary and grammar, to advanced conversation and writing
